UNFOLD — BETWEEN

Es gibt Orte, die keine Orte sind. Liminale Felder zwischen Ankunft und Aufbruch, zwischen Sichtbarem und dem, was sich dem Blick entzieht. Ich fotografiere diese Zonen — nicht als Dokument, sondern als Erfahrung.

Wüste, Himmel. Wasser, Horizont. Körper, Schleier, Spur. Weite als Form — aussen wie innen.

Die Arbeit entsteht zwischen zwei Orten: draussen in der Weite, unten im Gewölbekeller — einem Siebdruckatelier, das Geschichte trägt und wie eine Höhle anmutet. Aus dieser Spannung zwischen Weite und Rückzug entsteht eine Bildsprache, die nicht illustriert, sondern verdichtet.

Unfold — Between ist eine Arbeit über Präsenz, Atmosphäre und Wandlung. Sie kreist um die Frage, welche Spuren ein Moment hinterlässt — als Abdruck, Erinnerung oder Nachklang.

There are places that are not places. Liminal fields between arrival and departure, between what is visible and what withdraws from sight. I photograph these zones — not as document, but as experience.

Desert, sky. Water, horizon. Body, veil, trace. Vastness as form — outside and within.

The work comes into being between two places: out in the open, and down in the vaulted cellar — a screen-printing atelier that carries history and feels like a cave. From this tension between vastness and retreat emerges a visual language that does not illustrate — it distils.

Unfold — Between is a body of work about presence, atmosphere and transformation. It circles around the question of what a moment leaves behind — as imprint, memory or resonance.
